Dulce initially joined VOCEL in the summer of 2023 as a Program Intern and returned in January 2026 as Community Engagement Specialist. In one way or another, Dulce has been part of the nonprofit world her whole life. She aspires to be what others were for her growing up—here and everywhere she goes—serving with love, care, and joy.

Dulce graduated from Oberlin College with a BA in Comparative American Studies and Hispanic Studies. She has volunteered as an English as a Second Language instructor and has worked with high schoolers, who have taught her not only new internet vocabulary but also the importance of being fully present and meeting people where they are.

In her free time, Dulce loves watching movies, thrifting, going on walks (and sometimes runs), and chismear—laughing and spending quality time with her family and friends.
